ABOUT US
We, the Tiger Talkers, are a group of students at Fort Hays State University. We are a diverse bunch, each studying for different degrees, coming from different backgrounds, and having different life experiences. Each of us is intrigued by the same thing, though, which is learning about and applying leadership to our personal and professional lives.
The leadership certificate is achieved when an individual completes three courses. Once in the third and final course, the class is split into groups based on which community partner you are paired with. The four of us were blessed with the opportunity to work with Breathe Coffee House to help aid the progress of owner Patrick McGinnis's passion project, 'Can We Just Talk?', or CWJT. CWJT is an event hosted Thursday nights at 7:00 pm for people in the community as well as students at Fort Hays State University to enjoy open dialogue. During CWJT, we were able to practice the leadership skills we had learned throughout the previous courses as facilitators. We ensured that everyone had the opportunity to engage and worked to make sure that discussions were respectful. We were so grateful for this opportunity and can't wait to use the real-life experience in our day-to-day lives.

Faith Little
Operations Manager and External Communications
I am a senior majoring in Communications and minoring in Sociology. During my time at FHSU I have been involved in Chrisitan Challenge, the FHSU Cross Country and Track & Field team, and Hansen Scholarship Hall. In my free time I enjoy reading, working on an art project, or spending intentional time with friends. I believe leadership skills are important for living boldly in both my professional and personal life. The leadership certificate at FHSU has been a great avenue for pursuing this leadership skill set.
Morgan Keith
Project Manager and Event Planner
I am a sophomore at Fort Hays State University currently studying Diagnostic Medical Imaging with an emphasis on sonography. I graduated from Hoxie High School in Hoxie, KS, and was involved in many leadership roles including STUCO, FFA Reporter and Student Advisor, and being a part of the FCCLA. In my free time, I enjoy reading, painting, listening to music, and hanging out with my friends. I value family and creating important relationships with others. I enjoyed doing this Service-Learning project with Can We Just Talk because I was able to do that!

Marketing and Public Relations
I am a senior international student from Venezuela majoring in Marketing Management. I have developed a huge interest in Leadership Studies in the past year and a half. Leadership has given me so many new tools to open a variety of opportunities in my life. I would like to continue to apply this knowledge in my other classes, my major, my work, and my personal life.

I am a senior majoring in Business Administration in Management. I am originally from India. My family moved to the USA in 2009. I graduated from Phillipsburg High School located in Phillipsburg, KS. During my free time I love hanging out with friends, traveling, and playing golf.
